Lisa Jackson, holds a Masters degree in Counseling, is a licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, and recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor. In addition, Lisa is a certified "HeartWorks" Energy Practitioner and certified Wholistic Kinesiologist. Training in these areas provides Lisa with additional skills and insights about a persons energy field and what nutritional supplements might be helpful in returning ones body/mind/spirit back to balance. Often guided by intuitive insights Lisa can offer additional awareness about certain blocks or patterns of behavior (energy) that prevent someone from living the life they are meant to have. Lisa does not make predictions however, she will always relay her impressions to you in a non-judgmental, supportive, and caring manner.

2. What can I expect from Online Counseling and Advising?
Foremost, you can expect to be treated with dignity and respect. I will always work hard to provide the best possible service to you via the online counseling process. If for some reason I feel that online counseling is not the right forum for you – or believe I am not qualified to help you – I will inform you immediately and make suggestions about alternatives.

A typical email session consists of a client sending an inquiry about a specific concern. In response you will recieve not less than one full typed page that addresses your concern including practical solutions, inuitive insights, and suggestions that will support your healing process. Suggestions can include supplementation, dietary changes, crystals, aromatherapy oils, a specific actions, changes in daily routine, exercise ideas, and more.

3. What's the difference between email and live chat sessions?
Sorry I no longer offer live chat sessions. All online sessions are via email.

4. What are some of the benefits and limitations of online counseling?
One benefit of online counseling is immediacy. A client seeking counseling is not limited by time. You can make contact from the comfort of home or any place you have a computer and online access. Some limitations include software or hardware problems, accessibility, and not having face to face contact. In some cases online counseling may not meet the needs of the client. Online counseling can be a great resource for feedback, insight, development of coping strategies, support, encouragement, and may generally increase ones sense of well-being. Online counseling, in lieu of ongoing psychiatric care, is not a suitable form of treatment for individuals suffering from serious mental health conditions.

5. What about informed consent/confidentiality?
In an office setting informed consent is usually managed in writing and during and initial evaluation. For online settings clients must be advised that although every caution has been taken to ensure confidentiality, given the nature of electronic transmissions, one cannot be guaranteed total confidentiality.
